  1. Arnica flowers (Before all its petals are opened completely)
  2. Oil (Olive/Almond/Avocado)


  • At the very beginning, the arnica flowers need to be collected or harvested.
  • After that, those flowers should be dried. This can be done directly in the sun or any other dry and warm place. This step would take almost half an hour or an hour complete.
  • Then the flowers should be placed inside a glass jar of any size, according to the quantity of the flowers.
  • Next, the jar needs to be filled with oil so that all the flowers can be coated with it.
  • After this, the jar should be covered with a lid securely and kept in the dark and cool place. The jar needs to stay like that for four weeks.
  • In the first week, the jar needs to be shaken several times every day.
  • Then, in the last three weeks, the jar should be shaken once a day.
  • Lastly, the flowers need to be strained with the help of a butter-muslin or a fine-mesh sieve, and the oil should be stored inside a sealed jar and kept in a cool place, away from sunlight.


Day by day, the usage of arnica oil is increasing. Thus, it has made its way to become one of the top hair care products in India.  But although it offers several benefits, sometimes it causes side effects too, like itching, runny nose, hives, breathing difficulty, headache, and inflamed sinuses.
